Paulo Navarro-Costa, a post-doc in our group, won a prize for best poster at the 2013 edition of the Florence-Utah International Symposium on Genetics of Male Infertility. This joint meeting, organized by the Universities of Florence and Utah, took place in Florence (Italy) and gathered around 150 participants from over 30 countries. It is considered one of the foremost forums for the discussion of the state-of-the-art in male (in)fertility research.
Paulo says: “It was very gratifying receiving the poster award in a symposium attended by some of the leading figures in the field of male germ cell development. It is a considerable incentive to keep up the level of the work we have been carrying out.”
This award is attributed by the International Society of Andrology and contemplates a monetary prize of 250 Euros.
